Do you board animals?

Yes, we will board animals of our clients with arrangements made ahead of time.

Can I have my animals cared for by more than 1 veterinary hospital?

For continuity of care, we recommend that patients are seen by one primary veterinary hospital. Sometimes patients have expected reactions to certain medications, anesthetic agents or have unique medical histories. Veterinary hospitals will frequently log those characteristics that guide the excellent care of the patient. A secondary facility may not have access to that information. For the safety of the pet, Sonora Veterinary Group recommends establishing a relationship with a single primary veterinary practice. This is regarding routine and primary care. Specialty hospitals, referrals, and emergency care are unique situations that have established processes where records of care are given to the primary veterinary practice.

How do I become a client at Sonora Veterinary Group?

The best way to become a client is to call our office and speak with our receptionist. They will ask for information about you and your pet. They will also ask for records from any previous clinics your pet has visited. Once we receive this information, we will contact you with our earliest availability to get you on our schedule. Due to the significant increase in household pets within the US in the past year, most veterinary hospitals are seeing larger numbers of cases, leading to longer wait times. Our goal is to make the process of becoming a new client as painless as possible.

Do you require a deposit?

On occasion, Sonora Veterinary Group may require a deposit. If you are a first time client being seen for a medical case, or if there is a large surgery scheduled, we may ask for a deposit prior to the appointment. The deposit amount will be applied to the bill, and we will provide an estimate when requested in order to promote transparency. Clients with an established payment history do not require a deposit.
